There will be a hardware bundle, a hanging rail, a hanging channel splice, a hanging channel, a fascia drain, post top brackets, post tops, post bottom brackets, a roof panel, a side fascia panel, corner angles, and preformed flashing in addition to many nuts and bolts.
Follow your instructions and carefully identify each part.
Next, gather all of the tools you will need. Typically, you will need:
1 to 2 friends, a t-square or level, a sealant gun, a hacksaw, a hole saw, a hammer, two 6-foot ladders, tin snips, a tape measure, a 3/8-inch drill, a crescent wrench, and
1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8” socket drive set.
Before you actually start building your patio set, it’s important to make sure the area is clear from any electrical or other hazards.
Plan the location for a patio cover to be clear of all swinging doors and windows and finish with a minimum height of 6’8” to the underside of the front fascia
Beyond that, each manufacturer has its own procedures so follow along carefully and don’t rush the job.
